FOR INFORMATION ON SCHOOL CLOSURE AND CORONAVIRUS PLEASE SEE ‘KEY INFORMATION’
Remember, you should only be leaving your home if you’re shopping for basic necessities, for one form of exercise per day, for any medical need or if you’re travelling to/from work. Please take responsibility and keep children at home.
Emergency School Closure
Although we remain open for a small number of key worker and vulnerable children, not as an educational setting but as a safe space with a very skeleton staff, we would like to direct you to this advice from the Education Secretary on behalf of the Government.
You should only send your child to school on Monday if you have to, because your work is critical to our COVID-19 response.
If you are able to keep your child at home, you should.
Letters have been sent to those we are expecting. If you have contacted school but no longer need the childcare, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and leave a message. Alternatively, text the school using our texting service.
Parents can ring the Junior school between 9am and 3pm if they need to discuss emergency childcare 01484 712895.
Welcome to the websites for St Andrew’s Church of England Voluntary Aided Infant and Junior Schools. The Governors, staff and children are extremely proud of our schools and we hope that you will soon feel part of our friendly family. We work hard to learn together, striving to ensure that all our children achieve their best in a caring, Christian community.
Both schools are rated ‘Good’ in all areas by OFSTED. In our most recent SIAMS (Statutory Inspection for Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspections we were rated ‘Good’ (Junior School) and ‘Outstanding’ (Infant School).
Our teaching is based on the knowledge that all children are unique and have differing abilities and educational needs and that all children should have the opportunity to thrive, feel valued and be happy at school.
At St Andrew’s, we set high expectations and continually strive to raise standards by providing stimulating activities and experiences that make learning exciting and enjoyable.
We welcome visits to our schools. We have organised Open Days each year, which are listed in our calendar on the website. If you wish to visit on a different date, please ring the office who will be happy to help you.
